Deep Pool: Overview for Visually Impaired Musicians
The design of the Deep Pool engine was given special attention when it came to usability for the visually impaired.
Specifically, every control on the user interface (including menus) is available to be modified via Native Instruments' NKS protocol.
This protocol and its accessibility features are implemented through Native Instruments' keyboards and their Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt 7 software.
Below is a video that provides an overview of Deep Pool for the visually impaired. We have tried our best to provide this overview through voice only, however, we do point to things on the user interface from time-to-time (in case you are aided by someone with sight).
Because Native Instruments offers several keyboard models (as well as the Maschine MIDI drum controller) we have done our best to offer guidance as to how the keyboard's knobs and buttons relate to the Deep Pool set of controls. But please know that small differences might exist with your model of keyboard.
If you want or need a specific layout guide to the controls of the Native Instruments keyboards we recommend you check out this link at the website KK-Access.com.
KK-Access.com is a hub of reviews, tutorials and resources for visually impaired musicians working with the above mentioned software and MIDI controllers.
After listening to the below video, we encourage you to listen to the video manual here. This will help cement the keyboard layout.
